Cast Sky Go to Smart TV through a Smartphone. Since Sky Go does not support Chromecast directly, the screen mirror option should be used to successfully cast Sky Go on Smart TV. Connecting your Chromecast device on your Smart TV should be done initially. Might be a bit late now but with a bit of faffing around you can get SKY GO on chrome, you need to install IE tab into the chrome browser then once you load up sky go page on chrome click on the IE tab icon and it will mimic internet explorer in chrome only better. Skygo also works on palemoon which is basically firefox without the bloatware.
The Sky Go app is available for all Sky TV customers at no extra cost, so you can watch Sky on the go on your mobile, tablet or laptop. Sky need to create a sky go app for a smart TV enabling customers to watch when, wherever they are. Or alternatively allow mirroring from a ipad etc. All customers want to do is watch what they pay for however which way they want.

Why won’t my HDMI cable work with Sky Go?
Sky TV hasn’t cited in an official statement why an HDMI cable won’t work when trying to watch Sky Go on your TV.
The reason for HDMI and Sky Go being incompatible is most likely a way of protecting the Sky Go content. Sky may be concerned with what customers could do with the Sky Go content. For all they know, customers could be sharing content with other people who aren’t paying customers by recording shows.
We understand this can be frustrating when you pay for the service and then you can’t use it the way you want to. Many Sky Go customers wish to watch the service on a bigger screen and an HDMI cable enables just that.
